Feather 5

One of the few places in India where you can see a Ghariyal in its natural habitat is the Ghariyal Sanctuary. The primary goal of this sanctuary is to maintain and safeguard the Ghariyal and its biodiversity because they are currently one of the most endangered species.
Project Crocodile established Son Gharial Sanctuary to protect and increase the number of Gharials. In 1981, a sanctuary was established along a 210 km total length that included the lengths of the Son River (161 km), the Banas River (23 km), and the Gopad River (26 km). Numerous endangered species, like the Gharial, Indian Soft Shell Turtle, Indian Skimmer, and others, depend heavily on sandy habitats.

The sanctuary has about 101 bird species listed, making it diverse in both aquatic and avifaunal life. There are no restrictions known to apply to this sanctuary that apply to other national parks in the nation. Travelers now have more freedom to discover the area on their own terms.
